Information

Erchless Castle has the most welcoming atmosphere with all the quirks and idiosyncrasies of a historic castle. We are continually trying to improve our service whilst keeping the space and sense of tradition that is Erchless.

We like cotton sheets, fluffy towels and feather duvets so please let us know if any of your party suffers from allergies. The castle possesses what is probably one of the biggest baths in the Highlands – a complete joy to sink into after a long day on the hill.

The magnificent Georgian Dining room with its open fire will comfortably seat a large party. The games room on the ground floor has a full size snooker table (children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult) and table football.

The old kitchen on the same floor has a table tennis table and plenty of space for coats, boots and fishing rods, and a large Aga for drying wet things and keeping your dog warm. There is also an additional boot room.

Accommodation comprises of:

Fishing, per beat per week, and stalking are available in season on the estate. There are two four rod beats available. Breathtakingly wild, with stunning views, the hill is perfect for keen walkers and photographers. Around the castle, there are more gentle walks for the less energetic. The attractive small town of Beauly and the proximity to Loch Ness, Glen Affric, local distilleries, Culloden and the Moray Firth ensures that there are plenty of interesting places to visit and things to do in the area.
